Odam
Odam is a deterministic dice-based RPG where players roll custom dice to fuel their abilities, strategically choosing how to use each roll to survive intense battles. Unlike traditional RPGs, there’s no random chance (other than the die rolls). Every outcome is the result of player choices, resource management, and tactical decision-making. The game features a tactical combat system where dice symbols act as ingredients for techniques, allowing players to cast attacks, defenses, and utility moves on their turns. Various dice types introduce new mechanics, such as glass dice that break under pressure or bone dice that refuse to stay locked. Status effects add another layer of depth, from burning that punishes rerolls to dodge that counters slow but powerful strikes. Beyond the battlefield, Odam presents a world of meaningful choices. Players will encounter factions with their own motivations, moral dilemmas that reshape their journey, and scouting events that reward exploration. At campfires, they can rest, recover, and perform class-specific activities to prepare for the next challenge. With its rich mechanics, deep tactical combat, and a world shaped by the player’s actions, Odam is a fresh take on the RPG genre, rewarding clever strategy and thoughtful decision-making at every turn.
